Last Blog Post on RamexaBella

Dear whoever is reading this,

It’s been quite a freaking-while, hasn’t it? Well, I’m still here, and here as in, I still exist, I just haven’t written any blogs for some time. I haven’t written anything for the following reasons:

1) I had sem-end exams in October. (I hope I pass in Accounts. Fingers crossed.)

2)I moved homes because the previous one sucked SO much! Every week there would be an electrical problem or some kind of water shortage. When we finally moved, I said to the house,”Peace out Sucka! Never see you again!”

3)I started painting and drawing a lot, like A LOT, A LOT. Here are a few examples:

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

PS. Since I can’t draw from memory and am not an artist, I’ve tried to recreate whatever other awesome artists have already done.

4)I am finally revamping my YouTube channel! Expect comedy videos, art tutorials, book talk and some inspiration. Sounds good? Awesome.

This blog is gonna remain inactive indefinitely ’cause the content on this one is kinda meh. I just didn’t feel like I was doing justice to the people who read and like my content, so I’m gonna restart.

Follow my new blog –  https://ramexarocks.wordpress.com/ for a lot more fun stuff! The first blog post will be live tomorrow!

Hope to see you all there!

Lotsa love,

Ramsha.

7 Pieces of Clothing That’ll Help You Travel Through Seasons

Staples are awesome, aren’t they? And we’re not talking about the metal wires that bind paper together. Wardrobe staples are essential in every girl’s closet. Let’s be honest, most of us own a ton of clothes but we only wear like five tops on a day-to-day basis. And although our closet is flooded with clothes that we refuse to throw away, we end up saying, “I have nothing to wear! I need to go shopping soon!”

Story of every girl’s life!

But, we still go back to those valuable pieces of clothing again and again, just because they are so freaking comfortable! And alas, many tops and bottoms cannot be worn in all the seasons, we mean, have you ever seen anyone wear a leather jacket in Mumbai heat. Or have you seen anyone wear short shorts in the winter? Yeah. That’s right.

But what if you wanted to transition clothing in all, or at least most seasons? Well, we have the perfect solution to your problem! Here are seven pieces of clothing that’ll help you travel throughout the seasons:

1) Boyfriend Jeans

rihanna-distressed-jeans

You don’t need a boyfriend to rock this trend throughout the year! These jeans are super comfy to wear in the summer because unlike skinny jeans, they do not stick to your body like a glove! And in the cooler months, they’re thick enough to keep you warm and cosy!

2) Slip Dresses:

Slip dresses are so versatile because they can be worn over or under and outfit! Take a lesson from the Kardashian sisters over here for some inspo!

3) Scarves:

Scarves come in a verity of colours, patterns, and fabrics! And they can be worn in so many different ways too. In the hotter months, wear your scarf like a turban or a belt for that added oomph!

4) Peasant Dresses:

Add a big, slouchy tote and flip-flops to your peasant dress for a beachy vibe. Or, add leggings and boots for fall!

5) The LBD:

A girl can never go wrong with a little black dress! An LBD can be easily dressed up or down according to the changing seasons!

6) Palazzo Pants:

deepika

Palazzo pants are the looser, roomier version of leggings! The diva Deepika Padukone rocks palazzos two ways in the above pics.

7) Midi Skirts:maxresdefault

Midi skirts are all the rage! You’re sure to feel like a fairy in these super airy skirts!

So, there you go! Hope this article helped you!

Words

Let’s just talk today. No fancy-schmancy poems or video promoting. If you read this blog regularly, kudos to you! Thanks for sticking around. The truth is my voice has been taken hostage by my thoughts. Let me explain:

I have so much to say, about everything; Let it be books, movies, anime or music. But every time I hang out with my friends or family, I have nothing to say. And I just don’t understand why. Maybe because I just wanna hang out with myself? Or I’m too lazy to talk to them? I dunno. But I’ve been doing this same thing with this blog. For the past few months, there has been little to no posting going on here. And why is that? Because all my words were sucked away by my job. And if you dunno, I was the Creative Content Writing Intern for a venue-booking website. Sounds pretty awesome, doesn’t it? It SO wasn’t. I had to write venue descriptions every single day of places I had never heard of before. I wrote 10 descriptions every day and each and every one of them was more than a 100 words. 1000 soul-sucking words. Every. Freaking. Day.

Naturally, I quit soon after. And if you’re reading this and haven’t got a job yet ’cause you’re younger than me, let me give ya some advice:

  1. Work at a place which is close to your house. That 3-hour everyday commute will just leave you tired.
  2. Bring your own lunch. Spend as little as possible.
  3. Try to go for a virtual internship rather than a physical one, so then, you can work from the comfort of your own home.
  4. Believe in yourself. Don’t cower before authority. Be strong.
  5. And finally, work as SMART as you can.

Also, I’ve been writing scripts for my videos and those take words away from me. So now you know why I haven’t been writing.

I have forgotten how I end these things, so I bid thee farewell. For now.

New Video!200 Subscribers Special! Q & A!

Hello everyone! I know that I’ve been AFK  (Away From Keyboard) for a long time now but that was because I got an internship! And, I had many project submissions and I didn’t have any new poem ideas.

Truthfully, cutting out blogging and YouTube out has been pretty rough because I’ve stayed away from two of my biggest passions for such a long time.

And from now on, I’m gonna post a new video every Sunday!! And I’ll also post a poem every week without fail! So without further ado, here’s my new video:

Also, if you like this video, please give it a big thumbs up! And please COMMENT, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE!!! It’s free anyway!

Chocolate Thali

A thali is a metal plate on which Indian food is served. So basically, every plate serving Indian food is a thali! Usually thalis serve the Indian staples like rice, dal, rotis or parathas, papads (extremely thin deep-fried bread), a little salad and a teeny-tiny amount of dessert. Usually there are only one or two desserts served on a thali. Home-made Indian food is placed usually quite haphazardly on a plate. In restaurants however, thalis are more sorted. The vegetables, the dal, the rice, the dessert are served in proper bowls. Thali-exclusive restaurants in India are quite common as well.

Home-made thali Vs. Restaurant-made thali.

Usually whenever we go to a restaurant we want a little bit of everything, because hey,  variety is the spice of life (pun intended)! Choices are always haunting since we always wonder about the road not taken, or in this case, the other yummy dish that we didn’t order because the other one is just as good! But, what if I told you that there exists a dish so delicious and chocolate-y and mouth-watering that you feel that you’re the happiest person alive? Yes, such an amazingly simple dish exists and it is known as the – Chocolate Thali!

You dear reader, would be thinking one of the two things right now –

“Oh my God! My mind is officially blown! How did such a dish never exist before? I must go and try it at once!”

Or,

“That’s preposterous! A thali serving chocolate dishes only? Too much chocolate!”

I completely disregard the second kind of a person because life is just too short to not try a chocolate thali. So, this thali is served at a comparatively new restaurant called ‘Desi Klub.’ Everything about this restaurant represents the modern Indian generation. We, the Indian youth are always indecisive, hell, ask the question,”Beta, college ke baad kya kar rahe ho?” (“Kid, what are you gonna do after college?”) and every kid will either want to do nothing or ten different things. All the dishes in this restaurant are named after something and Indian grandma would say, for example, grandmas always call nachos khakhra(thin spicy crackers) with cheese sauce. But what’s more important is the Chocolate Thali!

This magnificent thali consists of chocolate papad with a drizzle of white chocolate sauce, gulab jamuns (deep-fried cottage cheese balls) filled with chocolate sauce, chocolate laddoos, chocolate brownies, chocolate ice-cream, chocolate shrikhand (strained yoghurt), chocolate sauce and finally a big, white chocolate lollipop filled with raspberry sauce!

the one
Clockwise: White chocolate lollipop, chocolate ice-cream, chocolate brownies, chocolate gulab jamuns, chocolate shrikhand, chocolate laddoos and chocolate sauce. And finally, chocolate papad in the centre.

Whenever elders come to know of such a dessert, at first they’re completely sceptical of the sheer amount of sugar on the plate, but once the dish arrives, no one can escape the charm of the Chocolate Thali.

I solely went to Desi Klub to check out this platter because although this idea is extremely simplistic, nothing like this has been made before. All the starters and the mains were pretty okay, nothing really mind-blowing, but once this platter arrived, everyone at the table wanted to get a bite of each and every individual dessert present on the thali. All the dishes present on the menu are between the range of 100-300Rs., but this dessert is the most expensive dish on the menu at 350Rs, but it’s so worth the money.

Now, for the official rankings:

White chocolate lollipop – 10/10 (quite frankly, I would give it an infinity on 10)

Chocolate ice-cream – 7/10

Chocolate brownie – 8/10

Chocolate-filled gulab jamuns – 8/10

Chocolate shrikhand – 9/10

Chocolate laddoos – 7.5/10

Chocolate sauce – 8/10

Chocolate papad – 10/10 (another infinity, same as before)

Final Verdict

As if it wasn’t obvious enough already, go TRY it!

Where I’ve Been and Self-Help Tips

Hello! You may remember me as Ramexa or better yet, Ramsha or not. The reason why I’ve been away from the blogosphere for almost a month is ’cause I had my finals. Of the second semester. Of college. And if you’re anything like me, you leave all your studying until, literally the very last moment. Bad move. Really bad move.

Also, I had a huge writer’s block. Not because of exams. But because of my thinking. I was addicted to negative thoughts and feelings all the time. About everything and everyone. But most of all, I thought very bad of myself. What a huge, dumb mistake. Listen to me, don’t go on hating yourself, ’cause you’re gonna be stuck in YOUR body all your life, so you might as well learn to love yourself. And if you’re having some trouble with that, I highly recommend The Secret by Rhonda Byrne and every video by FlightMediocrity.

The Secret discusses mainly The Law Of Attraction. It basically means that each every thought of yours creates your life. So, in a nutshell, if you think you’re stupid, you’re stupid. If you think you’re awesome, you’re awesome.

The FlightMediocrity YouTube channel consists of self-help book reviews with a twist. Each and every video is animated, and through animations, Malkhaz, discusses and teaches the audience about the teachings of a particular book.

This is my favourite video by FlightMediocrity:

Just watch it. You’ll thank me later.

And if all this still doesn’t help you, and music is more your thing, here are some of my favourite happy songs. I hope these help.

1)Pharrell Williams – Happy

2)Demi Lovato – Confident

3)Queen – We Are The Champions

4)Fall Out Boy – I Don’t Care

5)Panic! At The Disco – Victorious

I’m back everyone! Feels awesome to be back!

5th video – ‘Why I hate Sales!’ + Q & A

Hello everyone! I have finally uploaded a new video! Well, a month and ten days to be exact. I blame college. And anime. So, without further ado, here’s my new video!

If you guys like it, please LIKE, COMMENT, SUBSCRIBE & SHARE! Also, please subscribe! I’m trying to reach my goal of 200 subscribers by the end of this month!

Ps. You don’t need to have a separate YouTube account to subscribe. Your YouTube account is connected to your mail. So, if you log in to your mail, you will be able to log into YouTube.

And now for the Q & A!

Luna’s questions!

1) Where do you get inspiration for your writing?

I never plan ANY of my posts. If I get a new, amazing idea out of nowhere, and if it’s good enough, I make it into a post or a poem. I just post whatever I think is good. Whatever I think has to be said. It’s all my jumbled ideas finding order. But I can definitely say that my writing represents what I feel at a particular moment.

2) What’s your favourite animal?

PANDAS!!!! They’re just so adorable! Plus, they’re black and white and Asian! They’re the least racist animals out there. Also, the new Kung Fu Panda movie came out, so I’m all the more in love with them!

cute-baby-panda-wallpaper-wallpaper-1

happyme’s questions:

1) What’s your favourite book and why?

The Hunger Games trilogy! The idea is just fantastic! Although many people say that it’s a rip-off of Battle Royale, it really isn’t. It’s just too different. Also, if you like The Hunger Games and anime, I highly recommend Future Diary, Btooom!, and Eden of the East.

2) What is your ideal vacation?

Japan in the cherry blossom season, which typically is from March to April.

3) What are you most looking forward to this year?

My trip to Sharjah! My aunt lives there and she’s invited me over to stay at her home. Plus I have a four year old cousin who’s simply the cutest baby girl ever!

Elm’s questions:

1) Why do you like making videos?

I’m gonna answer that question in my new video!

2) What’s your best memory?

I have a lot of amazing memories, but my recent favourite has been when my dad and I went to a really far away mall. We hadn’t been able to hang out for a month because we both were extremely busy with work and college respectively. We shopped a lot, talked a lot and had a blast. The whole day was just so calming and cheerful.

3) How many languages can you speak?

Since I’m an Indian, I speak Hindi fluently. I can also understand Gujarati and French a little. Also, I have an awesome Japanese vocabulary; of about 20 words!

Ameena k.g’s question:

1) What’s love according to you?

Adoration. Respect. And trust. Also, whatever you love has the power to hurt you the most. Love is dark chocolate.

Mon’s question:

1) Which author do you wish to be more like?

I have a few authors I admire here on WordPress!

My absolute favourite writers are:

Poeteer: Wesley’s poems are so simple yet so powerful. I can only wish my poems are as good as his.

dray0308: Danny’s posts are all about positivity and healing. His blog also gives bloggers a chance to mingle and also to discover new, amazing blogs.

Mindoftannguyen: Tan Nguyen’s poems are simply beautiful. Beautifully written and beautifully detailed.

Eyes + Words: This website headed by Jacob Ibrag gives aspiring writers to showcase their talent. Each and every poem found on this site is pure perfection.

Izrael’s question:

1) Where did you get your writing inspiration from?

All my writing stems from my thoughts. I just write to get a clear idea of what I’m thinking.

Hiba’s question:

1) Do you find it challenging and intimidating to put yourself out there on the site as a woman of colour?

Well first of all, I’m girl. I’m only 18! Second, no I really don’t. But I have come across a lot of mixed reviews of my videos from my ‘friends’ and family. I’ll talk about this more in detail in my newest video.

Happiness

Lemme tell you a little something,
About this thing called happiness.
It feels unimaginably amazing.

It makes your heart and soul sing,
        And cleans all your mess.
        It feels infinitely confining.

But if ya base it off the inconsequential,
It’ll leave a deep, sad stain on you,
And lessen your extraordinary potential.

You gotta figure out what’s essential,
Make time for the prettiest hues,
And stop thinking of the existential.

I know it’s not that easy.
They kinda gnaw at you don’t they?
The scars, the constant reminder.

       They’re just so addictively queasy.
Your poking leaves them on display.
       And your thoughts simply concur.

You just have to stop thinking.
Your thoughts must be prettily dressed.
And so, you’ll finally end your suffering.

Thank you!
